|
This bronze medal commemorates the British victories at the battles of the Nile, Copenhagen, and Trafalgar. The reverse pictures a female warrior, symbolic of the victorious British entity, dressed in traditional Greco-Roman clothing. In her left hand she holds a trident and, in her right, she holds something like a lightning rod. She stands on a small boat with a lion’s head sculpted on the bow.
